About Project:PopUp
Project:PopUp, downtown Chattanooga’s retail incubator located at CitiPark, is a program of River City Company, Chambliss, Bahner & Stophel, and Berry & Hunt to support and attract new retail opportunities in downtown’s City Center district. Project:PopUp participants were chosen by a selection committee made up of existing downtown retailers. Each finalist interviewed with panelists before a final decision was made as to who would fill the spaces. Retail recruitment is a critical component of a healthy downtown and is a major focus of River City Company.
River City Company will provide the rent over head for each participant, a facade grant, animation and creative marketing for the program during the 6 month period as well as mentors and professional development classes for each tenant.
Project:PopUp's mission is to allow tenants with a great idea to test out their concept for 6 months rent free, with the goal of signing a long term lease after the 6 months has ended.
